Caterpillar is looking for a Mechanical Engineer 3 to support prototype design, fabrication, testing, and development of electrified machines and systems . This is a highly hands-on engineering role with significant shop-floor work.
Key ResponsibilitiesA Mechanical/Manufacturing/Prototype Engineer with 5+ years of experience and strong hands-on skills in CAD, Creo, CNC machining, fabrication, prototyping, and troubleshooting . Experience with electrification, additive manufacturing, welding, or automotive/heavy-equipment prototypes is highly desirable.
Important: This is a hands-on onsite role , approximately 75% shop / 25% office . Candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods . PPE will be provided.
